Ramsay Snow is the bastard son and only living child of Roose Bolton. Nicknamed “The Bastard of Bolton”, he is sadistic, cruel and resentful of being a “Snow”. It is believed Ramsay may have killed Roose Bolton’s trueborn son, Domeric Bolton, in order to be his father’s only remaining heir. Ramsay keeps a pack of vicious hunting dogs and is notorious for flaying his victims – true to the “Flayed Man” banner of his family.
Ramsay takes delight in manipulating and capturing Theon Grayjoy. After Theon lays siege to Winterfell, Ramsay commands his men to take over the castle, killing the Theon’s soldiers and capturing Theon. Several times, he commands his men to “release” and capture Theon for sport, pretending at first to be his rescuer to win his trust. Finally, after rescuing him from his pursuers once more, he brings him back to the dungeon and shows his true colors, crushing Theon’s hope for escape. Through physical and mental torture, he breaks Theon down until he forgets his identity and calls himself “Reek”. When he proves to his father that he has made Theon incapable of betraying their family and a potential pawn to capture Moat Cailin, Roose Bolton declares that he may make Ramsay a true Bolton and his heir.
Ramsay Snow is acted by Iwan Rheon and he appears in Season 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones.
